Naman to
MAA S A R A S W A T I
Luminosity enthroned on
white lotus —
all art, lyre,
lore seeker’s focus.
Moon-white robe and crystal rosary,
foremost source of Divine glory.
With Veena, Vedas and Swan as ride
and rainbow Peacocks settled by side.
Thy touch sets vocal chords to tune —
birds and bipeds sing of this fortune

Really, I was often confused or puzzled how to write poems in English about the Indian myths, Indian faiths, Indian mythology and so on , since there are no analogous words in English for the names and objects such as Saraswati, Veena etc.
Reading this poem, I feel surprised to how these concepts implicit peculiar in Indian Vernacular languages are brilliantly tamed by the Hon’ble Dr. N. K. Sharma Sir.
Very inspiring poem.
