Hamida M. Hakim (Category- Poem) (Nightingale | Certificate of Excellence)

Many seasons passed on an iron perch Few days of freedom on branches of birch.
Few days of eating what I love the most
Few days for finding a love and a host.
I cried my heart out to call in pain
The yearning of years went insane
But you thought I’m singing a song
You love it not knowing what is wrong.
You might get attracted, but not my mate
I’m putting it all there to see my fate
Will try few times before its too late.
Pleasure to your ears though it always be
Can you understand the nightingale’s plea.
