Undoing the Undone

Like shadows now fleeting,
Across an orange yellow sun,
Like birds that had nested,
but flew only once,
Like songs that were written,
but never ever sung,
Like the guitar they had bought,
but failed to ever strum,
Like all those battles we had fought,
but never ever won,
Like every promise we had made,
To undo the undone,
So were we, children of the stars,
Dreaming such dreams,
