Rain! Rain! In torrents, you are pouring
To a standstill, you bring everything;
At the fag-end of the scorching summer
We bid adieu with your pleasant shower.

You invite a strong feeling to dance
You ignite loving hearts to romance;
While someone loves to get doused,
Some others feel poetically enthused.

The mother earth and living creatures,
Welcome you with heartfelt rapture;
You are the essence of life and energy
Without you, the world will get dreary.
