They say that soul is immortal
I can’t understand it as a mortal
Something immortal inside me
That will live even when I die!

Wonder how long my soul has been journeying-
A doze, score or a thousand years!
And how many life times
And life forms it might have lived!

Yet I had to learn everything
From how to eat and crawl
To how to live and let live!
And I am still learning

Remembering, reminiscing and reflecting on
This brief life at hand
Forgetting some and clinging onto others
Trying hard to live a better life

Yet it’s just the soul
Who truly lives the life’s journey
Shining with humane wisdom clear
Guiding me through the journey of life
